AP-TEAM-STORIES-Luis-Marquez

Hi, I am Luis Marquez, Program Architect and Software Developer at Authority Partners!

I was born in Mexico, a country with many colors, beautiful beaches and delicious food, but I think the people are the most interesting part of what makes this country so special. I love to travel, and I’ve lived in four different countries the the past 5 years, with a goal of visiting at least three new countries every year. You can probably tell by now that I have two passions: programming and traveling. At AP, I can do both.

I always wanted to have the chance to work 100% remotely no matter the country or city I’m located in, providing me the opportunity to meet and work with people from different countries and cultures. With AP, I have a chance to work with multiple teammates from all over the world, and every day I learn something new about their country, culture and – mainly – the way of working.

In additional to cultural growth, there is always space for professional development. I joined AP as a Senior Software Developer and have worked on three different projects. I’m excited to announce that as of a few weeks ago, I am now a Program Architect.

As Zig Ziglar said: “If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you.”

If you want to join our AP community, my advice to you is to not be afraid to ask anything. Curious people usually have more chances to be considered as participative members of teams.
