Taming a behemoth: Strangler Transformation
Authority Partners Management System, aka APMS, is an internal enterprise application developed over a decade. It is now going through a complete transformation with the final goal to create a modern web application with a cloud-native micro-service backend and a modular micro-frontend. In this quest, DevOps is the main driving factor. During this session, we will discuss how modern DevOps principles and a number of technologies are used to execute strangler patterns. In addition, you will have a chance to hear first hand experience of developers involved in this intricate endeavor.

Can Bilgin, Solution Architect at Authority Partners
Can Bilgin is a Solution Architect working for Authority Partners. He has been working in the software industry for almost two decades on various consumer and enterprise-level engagements for high-profile clients using technologies such as BizTak, Service Fabric, Orleans, Dynamics CRM, Xamarin, WCF, Azure Services, and other web/cloud technologies. His passion lies in mobile and IoT development using modern tools available for developers. He shares his experience on his blog, social media, and speaking engagements in local and international community events. He was recognized as a Microsoft MVP for his technical contributions between 2014 and 2018.
Almir Tucakovic, Program Architect at Authority Partners
Almir Tucakovic is a Program Architect at Authority Partners with almost 20 years of experience in the IT Industry, mainly in Software Development. Besides Software Development, he also has extensive management experience, leading multiple teams and managing projects. Perhaps one of the most interesting things about Almir is that he has been an AP consultant for more than 16 years now, since the establishment of the Sarajevo Technology Center. He mastered technologies such as ASP.NET, MVC, MS SQL, Angular 2+, WCF, WPG, Power BI, Azure Services, and others throughout his career. Although he is a strong full-stack developer, his passion leans more in the Frontend expressing his love for a design using different tools. Besides work, Almir is a proud father of two, a passionate skier, a rafting enthusiast, and when he is not coding, you will probably find him barbecuing with friends.
Edin Dujso, Lead Software Developer at Authority Partners
Edin Dujso is Senior Software Developer Team Lead at Authority Partners.
He is an experienced Software Engineer with over ten years of demonstrated history working in the information technology and services industry. Skilled in .NET / C# and Angular, graduated from Cisco CCNA. Enjoys playing tennis with his daughter and running after he recently started walking baby boy.
Kelvin Johell Confesor Camacho, Software Developer at Authority Partners
Kelvin is a passionate Full Stack Software Engineer from the Dominican Republic. He holds a decade of experience working with Microsoft technologies. He has been in various roles throughout his career, including Software Development Team Lead and Software Architect. Kelvin is really passionate about software design. He has strong experience developing solutions in Angular, as well as with .Net Core. In addition, he is passionate about writing code and creating elegant solutions for clients across the globe. Kelvin joined Authority Partners last year as a Full Stack Developer. Fun fact, despite being from the Dominican Republic, he doesn’t know how to dance at all.
Jusuf Suljic, Software Developer at Authority Partners
Jusuf Suljic is a young software developer that works at Authority Partners for more than two years. He discovered his passion for programming in his early years after discovering how applications and games are created. Then, as an IT student, he began working in the sector on some small-scale initiatives and startups. Shortly after engaging with AP, his interest in enterprise-level applications began to rise. His first enterprise experience came from working on a Xamarin project with a respected customer organization. Nowadays, he prefers working with modern backend technologies such as Node.js and Microsoft frameworks and cross-platform development frameworks such as Xamarin. He also enjoys working and learning in the DevOps and video game industries. Besides being a programmer, Jusuf is a 3rd DAN black belt in karate, so better watch out bugs; he is coming for you.
Nerma Hanic, Software Developer at Authority Partners
Nerma Hanic has been a Software Engineer at Authority Partners for over two years. She started her professional career as an intern, and now she is a DEV team lead. She is currently attending the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo as a final year master’s student. Driven by a passion for the IT industry, she takes pride in knowing that she took part in multiple global organizations such as BH Future foundation, Aiesec- Internation global volunteer team, and Eestec LC Sarajevo during her up-and-rising career. Nerma enjoys finding new and unconventional ways to solve problems. Her second passion is music. She is a passionate piano player, and she sees art in everything she does. Don’t be surprised if she composes the next IT discovery.
Selma Soljic, Software Developer at Authority Partners
Selma Soljic is an enthusiastic Software Developer that works in AP for almost two years. She is always willing to help and work in a team with people from whom she can learn a lot. She earned Bachelor’s degree in IT, and at the very end of her studies, she got a job in Authority Partners. She prefers working with frameworks such as .NET Core, ASP.Net MVC, Microsoft SQL Server, Angular, Azure DevOps. Selma enjoys developing and building something that other people can use and work with.
Aida Sarajlija, Software Developer at Authority Partners
Aida Sarajlija has been a Software Developer at Authority Partners for more than two years now. She graduated from the Faculty of Information Technologies in Mostar. During her last student days, she became an AP Lab intern, after which she landed a job at the Authority Partners. Full-stack developer with backend preference, mainly working with .net core and Angular. Aida is passionate about exploring and learning new things, being challenged and engaged with projects that require her to work outside her comfort and knowledge set, as continuing to learn new frameworks and development techniques.
