First Talk

Ejder Kuvemli, Program Architect at Authority Partners

Ejder is a Program Architect at Authority Partners. He was born in Istanbul, Turkey. He started coding when he was 14. He has more than 15 years of professional experience in coding large back-end systems in C#, using ASP.Net for customer-facing products and e-commerce projects, including three as a lead developer. He likes playing bass guitars and still plays WoW!

What’s new in .Net 5

.Net 5 will be the next version of .Net Framework, and there will be some major and interesting changes coming up with this new framework. It will uniform .Net Core and .Net Framework again, and there will be only one .Net to rule them all. It’s due for release on 10 November 2020, and we will be discussing the changes from the previous versions and the advantages of migrating to this new version of .Net.

Burak Bolek, Software Developer at Authority Partners

Burak is a Senior Software Developer at Authority Partners’ Technology Center Istanbul, with 12 years of professional experience. He was born and raised in Eskisehir, Turkey, and graduated from Industrial Engineering, Anadolu University. He started coding in secondary school and also coded during university as a hobby. After graduation, he worked in different companies in different sectors. Burak developed stuff using Java and .Net languages primarily, and he used Play, React, and Angular frameworks for front-end development. He is happily married. In his leisure time, he loves to take long walks and travel. He calls himself an addicted AoE player.

Build a chatbot with Amazon Lex & Lambda

Amazon Web Services is one of the biggest cloud providers. It offers many services which are also free for a limited time/usage. Amazon offers AI Chatbot named Amazon Lex, which also powers Alexa. You can create a chatbot with Amazon Lex, and you can use Amazon Lambda serverless functions to validate & fulfill requests. In this meetup, we will talk a little bit about amazon offered services, and then we will create a chatbot, see how to validate user inputs, and fulfill user requests together.
